DONE DEAL:Everton and Nottingham Forest agreed terms and conditions over a young star under 20
Nottingham Forest and Lyon did some financial gymnastics earlier this summer to try and get the Reds over the PSR threshold that the Premier League dictates all clubs must adhere to.
The Reds sold Moussa Niakhate to the Ligue 1 outfit for £28 million and then let Orel Mangala go to the same club for £15 million.
Mangala is set to sign for Everton on loan but now Lyon are looking to offload some more of their stars and that could benefit Forest.
The Reds are actively looking for more players before the transfer deadline on Friday and now Forest could be considering a move for another player.
Nottingham Forest want Ernest Nuamah
This news comes courtesy of L’Equipe who claim that Lyon could cash in on the winger with Everton also keen on signing the Ghanian.
Forest have added Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa to their wide options this summer but it would appear that more forward players are being eyed.
Nuamah has been with Lyon since last summer when he signed from Nordsjaelland in Denmark.
In his maiden campaign with the club, he played 35 times, scoring three goals and registering two assists for the Ligue 1 outfit.
Now, he could be heading out of France with Lyon demanding £25 million from any potential suitors interested in making a purchase.
Two Saudi Arabian clubs have made offers for the player but he’s ruled out the possibility of heading over there this summer.
Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan is a big fan of Nuamah and called him ‘excellent’ in June of last year following a call-up to the Ghana squad.
Nuamah would be considering signing with the future in mind
Clearly, he’s a talented boy but Nuamah’s goal contribution record as a winger would hardly excite the Forest fan base.
As a result, the supporters would have to take this one as a quality addition for the future and hope that with more starts he could fulfil his potential.
