SAD NEWS;Leeds best player has declared his career is over due to…
Leeds United are confident of getting a deal done for Bournemouth full-back Max Aarons, a report from TEAMtalk has said.
Leeds United are a side in dire need of more new signings over the final stages of the summer window.
It’s been a tough summer at Elland Road. There was a lot wait for meaningful business to get done and a whole host of key players have been sold with Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter and Archie Gray earning Premier League moves.
It is hoped the signing of Largie Ramazani can kickstart a late flurry of business, but there’s a lot of work to be done before there’s any level of satisfaction over the summer’s transfer activity.
One man who was linked recently is Bournemouth’s Max Aarons. He would provide a much-needed option at full-back, and an update on the rumours have now emerged.
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds United are growing in confidence that a deal is there to be done for Aarons. Bournemouth are set to sanction an exit for the 24-year-old, who was ‘deeply apologetic’ over the collapse of his Elland Road move last summer.
It is not said whether it would be a loan or permanent deal in this fresh update, though the initial reports of the Whites’ interest said it was a temporary move.
Leeds United aren’t exactly a side blessed with strength in depth at the moment. That’s especially the case at full-back, with limited options on both the left and right flanks.
New signing Jayden Bogle looks to be the favoured man at right-back while Junior Firpo has the spot on the left. Beyond them though, Sam Byram can operate on either side, but there’s not a fourth option.
Byram, despite being right-footed, mainly filled in on the left last season. He will offer solid cover again this season but can’t go it by himself.
