Shocking News: unexpected retirement to sam Lammers he will never return back
Rangers play sam Lammers is the latest veteran Ibrox star primed for the club’s exit door.
Reports in Cyprus had claimed that Goldson was undergoing a medical with Aris Limassol ahead of a potential move to last season’s Europa League foes.
Connor Goldson is one of a number of previously key Rangers first-teamers who are now expected to leave the club in the coming days.
But images from the travelling party to Birmingham this week have cast some doubt over the potential transfer with Goldson very much still a part of the squad.

Connor Goldson has been a stalwart for Rangers over his six seasons at Ibrox.
But like several in the team, there’s a feeling the 31-year-old’s chance to prove he can return Rangers to domestic dominance in Scotland has been and gone.
Alongside captain James Tavernier, the exit reports are swirling with internet sleuths working out Connor had flown to Cyprus at the beginning of the week via Prestwick Airport.
But as Rangers head south for a pre-season friendly with Birmingham City, guess who has rocked back up amongst the travelling Rangers squad?
Images of the Rangers team boarding a jet to Birmingham clearly show the ex-Brighton defender climbing aboard.
The presence of summer signing and back-up goalkeeper Liam Kelly in the picture – the Scotland international jetting out to the club’s Dutch training camp by himself – proves it is the squad for the friendly at St. Andrew’s.
Naturally, the presence of Connor Goldson has raised major doubts that Rangers are set to sell the defender.
Normally when the club are on the verge of selling an asset, they don’t play in pre-season friendlies and risk an injury which would scupper a transfer.
So it’s left plenty of Gers fans scratching their heads and not without good reason.
But there has been some information coming out of Cyprus which could give an indication as to why Goldson had flown out only to fly back this week.
After Aris press officer Kostas Papadopoulos admitted the club are ‘close’ to a new centre-back signing, there are some things still to be thrashed out.
Until these details are concluded, Goldson will remain a Rangers player.
“We are close to a new signing,” said Papadopoulous. “Things are not so easy as it involves several moving parts.
“We are doing our best to conclude a deal. We will not divulge any names.”
