Leeds target has just rejected move to Spain, he wants to stay in England
Fabrizio Romano latest update is positive news for Leeds United’s chances of landing one of their attacking targets.
The Whites are still in the hunt for one more addition in the final third after landing UD Almeria’s Largie Ramazani on Thursday, who has put pen-to-paper on a four-year-deal.
Ramazani is expected to come in and replace Crysencio Summerville at Elland Road and so now they are on the lookout for someone who can do the same for Georginio Rutter.
Daniel Farke practically built his entire system around Rutter last season and watching Leeds in league action without him for the first time in over a year was difficult at West Brom.
Joel Piroe struggled as his replacement in the number 10 role last weekend and so it is paramount Leeds get someone in who can link together attacks like Rutter did.
Leeds handed boost in Manor Solomon race
Having signed Ramazani, Leeds’ priority is now thought to be finding a left-footed attacker just so the balance of the side is there.
Ilan Kebbal, Roland Sallai, Calvin Stengs and Manuel Benson have all been linked, but that does not mean they are not looking at right-footed options too.
In fact, Leeds are said to be in the hunt for Tottenham winger Manor Solomon and Fabrizio Romano may have just handed Farke a boost in his hopes of signing him.
Romano has this morning wrote on Twitter that the ‘ambitious‘ Solomon has rejected a move to Spanish side Getafe, who had been one of the sides battling Leeds for him.
This is because Solomon is actually prioritising staying in England, which is good news for Leeds’ hopes if they look to firm up their initial interest.
What Ange Postecoglou has said about Solomon future
Romano also added in his tweet that Solomon is still expected to leave Spurs despite rejecting Getafe, which does align with what Ange Postecoglou said earlier this summer.
