Breaking News:Kaiky Rangers transfer bid ‘rejected’ as Hamza Igamane debut chances boosted – Ibrox news
Almeria have reportedly booted out a bid from Rangers for centre back Kaiky.
A loan with a fee of €750,000 that includes a €7m option to buy and a 30 per cent sell on fee was knocked back by the Spanish La Liga outfit, according to Fabrizio Romano. Gers are said to have made their move for the 20-year-old Brazilian this week and Philippe Clement attempts to add further reinforcements ahead of the transfer window closing next week.
The Belgian’s claims that Gers must sell before they can buy suggest that the Ibrox club are hamstrung financially when it comes to making offers, although with the likes of Ianis Hagi and Todd Cantwell available for transfer, there appears to be some confidence that cash will be incoming over the next seven days. However, £5m on another untested centre back would seem on the high side. Clement has already added experienced Dutchman Robin Propper to his back line.
Meanwhile fans could be set for their first glimpse of new striker Hamza Igamane in action soon. The Moroccan has been kept under wraps since his £1.7million summer switch, with Clement insisting he wasn’t ready to play after making the step up from his homeland.

However, he has been spotted training at Auchenhowie, which has been been a rarity in itself so far this season. And that would appear to back up Clement’t recent comments that he the frontman was nearing his Gers debut.
He said: “If you see our programme for September, October, November, December, we will need rotation in the squad. So we need a lot of players available in that way. Hamza Igamane is also making good steps.
So I hope the next couple of months to also count on him in moments to play that role. That’s what you need if you want to be competitive in four competitions.”
