Everton have not made a bid to secure the services of Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe, according to Bild.

Sport Witness cite the German publication on 21 August after they issued an update with RMC Sport claiming an approach had been made and Fabrice Hawkins reporting on 19 August that talks were ongoing between the two clubs.

The German side are understood to be open to letting the 23-year-old Frenchman leave before the transfer window shuts.

At 23, Ebimbe represents not just immediate quality but also potential for growth, which is crucial for a club like the Toffees aiming to climb the Premier League standings.

His ability to play across the midfield, including as a right-back, provides tactical flexibility, which could be invaluable under Sean Dyche’s management, known for his pragmatic approach.

The midfielder’s physical presence and technical skills could address Everton’s need for a midfielder who can both break up play and initiate attacks.

His comparison to Jude Bellingham, via the official Bundesliga website, due to his “rangy gait and ability to drive through opposition ranks,” highlights his potential to become a pivotal figure in the Toffees’ midfield.

Hopefully, if not him, they bring in someone else who can replace Amadou Onana who’s already starring for Aston Villa.
