BREAKING NEWS;Arne Slot rejected Everton terms and conditions insisted leaving due to
After missing out on a deal for Martin Zubimendi this summer, Liverpool are still intent on finding the right signing for Arne Slot’s squad.
Slot deployed Ryan Gravenberch as Liverpool’s number six against Ipswich Town on Saturday to good effect, his compatriot shone in the second half.
But Liverpool would still benefit from a new arrival, and the same could be said at both centre-back and on the wing.
Ibrahima Konate replaced Jarell Quansah at half-time on the weekend, delineating that Slot is still fairly undecided on who is best to partner Virgil van Dijk.
That being said, TBR Football understands that Liverpool are now considering an audacious move to sign Ademola Lookman, who could strengthen Slot’s options up top.
Lookman left Everton for £23m back in 2019 when signing for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
The 26-year-old now turns out for Atalanta in the Serie A, and was actually left out of their opening league squad last weekend because of speculation over his future.
Liverpool considering Ademola Lookman move amid Paris-Saint Germain interest
All of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City have been kept informed of Lookman’s situation in Italy this summer.
As mentioned, Lookman asked not to play for Atalanta against Lecce on Monday because of the interest that is emerging in his signature – particularly from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
All of the English sides mentioned have been keeping tabs on Lookman but their interest has not gone any further at this stage.
As for Lookman’s preference, the ‘unbelievable’ winger is keen to move to Paris and has made his feeling known to Atalanta’s hierarchy.
It was stated earlier in the summer that the Italian side would demand around €60m (£51m) for Lookman this summer, a player they’d be loath to lose in the same month as Teun Koopmeiners – another player linked with Liverpool.
