BREAKING NEWS:Celtic new signing fails medical test due to…
Celtic have been busy this summer. They have completed four signings, bringing in Kasper Schmeichel, Viljami Sinisalo, Adam Idah and Paulo Bernardo, all on a permanent basis. On the other hand, quite a few players have departed Parkhead in this window, whether it be permanently or on loan.
Perhaps the most worrying trend about their exits has been highly-rated youngsters leaving the club. Rocco Vata has joined Watford. Bosun Lawal, in a departure not many saw coming, has moved to Stoke City.
Now, it is time to add another name to that list. It is that of Daniel Kelly. He had signed a pre-contract with Millwall, which would have allowed him to join the London club as a free agent next winter. But now, that move will happen this summer itself.
As reported by the Daily Record, Celtic have accepted an offer from Millwall worth close to Β£400,000 plus add-ons for his early release. Lanarkshire Live Sport understands that the midfielder is in London and will likely undergo a medical in the next 24/48 hours.

Kelly made a few appearances for Celtic last season, when Reo Hatate and Callum McGregor were out injured. He impressed with his performances as well, even scoring a goal. That raised expectations that he could be someone who develops into a first-team starter in the future.
That won’t happen at Celtic Park though. Like so many before him, Kelly has decided to take his talents elsewhere after coming through the academy ranks.
To be honest, the decision is understandable. Celtic’s recent record, when it comes to promoting academy standouts to the senior team, has not been good by any stretch of the imagination. So, it is only natural that youngsters look for other clubs early on in their careers.
