Breaking News:Nottingham Forest ready to compete for ‘incredible’ £17m forward from Champions League club
Nottingham Forest are ready to keep their summer of transfers going with what would be their sixth addition of the window.
The Reds have been one of the busiest sides in the Premier League so far this summer having seen players both come and go.
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side are also well underway with their pre-season training as they work in the Spanish heart.
Forest have made an unbeaten start this summer with victory over Chesterfield and a draw against Championship outfit Sunderland.
Although any further signings will not make Tuesday’s game against Millwall, Forest are still looking to add to their squad with a player from a Champions League side of real interest.
Nottingham Forest showing interest in forward from Champions League club
Although Forest have allowed some of their players to depart this summer, there are also a number of players who they are fighting to keep hold of.
Anthony Elanga is a player who has already received a lot of interest this summer following his impressive 2023/24 campaign.
It has been claimed Newcastle United have shown a strong interest in Elanga this summer.
Despite Forest’s fight to keep the former Manchester United winger, that is still a position which Nuno is keen to add to over the coming weeks.

According to Calciomercato, Forest are one of the Premier League clubs who are showing an interest in Alexis Saelemaekers.
But the Reds are not alone in liking the Belgian winger this summer with Leicester City, Fulham, West Ham also said to be eyeing the 25-year-old.
A move for Saelemaekers could see any of these sides needing to pay up to €20m (£17m) for his signature, though.
Forest could land ‘incredible’ addition with Alexis Saelemaekers
Despite having such interest in him this summer, Saelemaekers is actually coming into the 2024/25 campaign on the back of some tricky campaigns in Serie A.
Last season, Milan loaned the Belgian out to Bologna – who also secured Champions League football – where Saelemaekers made 30 Serie A appearances.
The winger was able to provide a better return than the season prior with four goals and three assists, but it was hardly anything spectacular.
Talent scout Jacek Kulig has hailed the Belgian as providing an ‘incredible’ impact from the bench during his time with Milan.
But perhaps the player is now ready for a fresh start elsewhere as he has had his difficulties in Italy.
