Wolves are currently shortlisting replacements for Pedro Neto after Chelsea agreed a deal with the Portuguese international.

Having accepted a £54m bid for Pedro Neto from Chelsea, Wolves are already looking for their next replacement.

When the news dropped, Fabrizio Romano said that Gary O’Neil wanted Ajax winger Carlos Forbs, 20, to replace the 24-year-old.

Sadly, reports have emerged that Wolves cannot afford to sign the Manchester City academy graduate, who costs ‘too much’.

That leaves the Wanderers in a position where they can either break the bank for Forbs or look elsewhere and there are plenty of other talents who could succeed Neto at Molineux, including a winger from Porto.

Wolves should look at signing Porto winger Wanderson Galeno

Porto winger Wanderson Galeno is a wanted man at the moment, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that Nottingham Forest saw a bid rejected for the Brazil international.

He reports that the interest ‘remains strong’ from the Reds, while it is said the Portuguese side are holding out for €40m (£34m) for their talented winger.

Although Forest and Juventus have shown the most intrigue, it’s Wolves who should use the impending £54m from Neto to trigger Porto’s asking price.

Galeno – a right-footed left-winger – produced some phenomenal displays last term, particularly in the Champions League, where he scored five goals in seven appearances, including a stunning winner against Arsenal in the last 16.

Porto did go on to lose that tie at the Emirates 4-3 on aggregate but the one-time Brazil international could hold his head extremely high, having registered an eye-watering 16 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.

It’s such numbers that place the 26-year-old in elite company across Europe and give supporters every reason to believe he can be the heir to Neto’s throne at Molineux.
