Ryan Jack admits Connor Barron will be having a “tough time” at Rangers as he deals with the “backlash” from Aberdeen supporters.

 

The former Gers midfielder left Ibrox earlier this summer when his contract expired seven years after he made his own switch from Pittodrie, with 21-year-old BArron arriving in his place after following the same route.

Jack told Gordon Duncan on The Warm-Up on 9 August that his successor has impressed to begin his Light Blues career and all he can do is block out the “irrelevant” criticism he will be getting from his former fanbase.

 

He said (28m 15s): “Yeah, no doubt he’ll be going through a tough time. There’s no doubt I think, as you touched on it, you do get the backlash but for him he’s just got to block that out. It’s irrelevant.

 

“He’s got to just focus on he’s at a huge club, he’s got a huge task, he’s came in and actually done really well his first couple of games.
