Hibs v Celtic – Time for Brendan to banish those Easter Road blues

Our last three league games at Easter Road have seen us lose 4-2 in an end of season dead rubber, scrape out a dull 0-0 draw, and of course a last gasp Adam Idah penalty gave us a vital 2-1 win back in February.

That win was indeed Brendan’s first ever win at Leith in his two terms at the club! Tomorrow we have got to replicate that win in February, although this time with a little more style.

A win is the most importantly thing, as we will probably start the game a point behind the Rangers who play an injury hit Motherwell at Hampden this afternoon.

Hibs have started the season poorly after being thumped 3-0 by St Mirren at Love Street on the opening day of the season, but that counts for nothing come tomorrow lunchtime.

We have got to show the same kind of style and flair we showed against Kilmarnock at Celtic Park. Do that and I’m confident we can leave Easter Road with a decent result and performance for a pleasant change.

An ordinary everyday Celtic supporters hailing and still residing in Govan in the shadows of the enemy. I’m a season ticket holder. I Witnessed my first Celtic game in 1988 and have attended when I can ever since. Growing up in the 90s I witnessed Celtic at their lowest, and now appreciate the historic success we enjoy today. I enjoy writing about this wonderful football club and hopefully will continue to do so. I’ve always been a keen writer and initially started this a hobby. My ambition is to one day become as good an author as my fellow Celtic Star colleagues.
