SHOCKING NEWS:Everton best is determined to leave and never return again..
Everton are still in the market for attacking reinforcements despite the signing of Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille.
The Toffees recently expressed interest in one of Paraguay’s most exciting talents, and now, there has been an intriguing update on that situation – straight from the South American’s club.
So, what is the latest at Everton? Let’s take a look…
Talleres make Ramon Sosa announcement
Talleres have now revealed in an official statement that Ramon Sosa has asked to leave.
The Argentinian outfit add that talks to sell the Paraguayan to an unnamed club have just collapsed, although it is stressed that there remains time for a sale to go through, and they are aiming to help the 24-year-old find a new club instead of bluntly rejecting his desire to leave.
It comes after TEAMtalk claimed that Everton want to sign Sosa this summer – with the Paraguay international valued at £12m.
Talleres explain how the winger has now made himself available for selection after his mystery move broke down, although “he knows that there is still a month left with the transfer window open to analyse other possibilities” – hinting that the situation is not over yet.
Promising signs for Everton
In our view, if Talleres had no intention of selling Sosa – who Newcastle are scouting – this summer, their statement would be more firm.
As it is, the announcement feels like a message designed to inform clubs that negotiations were held about selling the man from Maracana, and while those collapsed, we would still like to cash in.
Talleres may never get a better chance to receive a fee as high as £12m for Sosa – who has a contract until December 2026.
Even in the club’s statement, it was mentioned that the forward has been “outstanding” in recent times, earning a Paraguay call-up as a result, which led to the transfer interest.
£12m is also not a huge fee for Everton to pay, so a deal seems entirely possible for the Toffees this summer.
