Everton best player receives a heart breaking contract announcement
With Everton’s shocking proactivity in the market, it truly is impossible to predict what Kevin Thelwell might do next in his efforts to bolster the squad.
Sean Dyche must be delighted to see that, after such unrelenting turmoil, he is finally set to lead a stable and solid team into a new Premier League season at last.
Even without a confirmed new owner, the short-term future of the Toffees looks well secured, and that can largely be attributed to the intelligent business done by their director of football.
However, that’s not to suggest that he is perfect, and he has come close to a few big blunders during his largely successful tenure.
Alan Myers confirms Everton’s failed transfer target
Everton have been embroiled in plenty of transfer sagas this summer in particular, both big and small.
Their desperation to acquire the right men has spilt over into a few near-misses, but for the most part, their actions in the market have been faultless.
A failed effort to sign Jaden Philogene could not really be helped, and other than that the calibre of players and their respective profiles, mostly young and hungry, are along the right track.
However, there were reservations when rumours cropped up again linking Everton with a move for Che Adams, one year after they saw a bid for the striker turned down.
Well, that story has now been officially put to bed by journalist Alan Myers, who took to X to simply write: ‘Che Adams in Italy ahead of signing for Torino.’
Everton could do better than Che Adams
Whilst he would likely have been an ample asset for a Dyche team, given his ability to play as a lone striker or alongside another, their earlier acquisition of Iliman Ndiaye should fit this bill nicely.
