Ianis Hagi failed medical claim emerges amid Rangers transfer development
Rangers attacker Ianis Hagi is unlikely to have issues clearing his medical despite his recent injury issues, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert read an interview with the Romania international gave to Rangers Review back in May 2023 when he explained the process of rehab post his ACL rupture.
Last season, he was on loan at Deportivo Alaves and found game time hard to come by and has admitted that he’s instructed his agent to find pastures new before the window shuts. [Scottish Sun]
Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“None of what he said was outside the norm following the major injury he had which was the ACL.
“If anything, that interview shows that he understands what it takes to come back methodically from the injury and not rush back which is a major green flag.
“It’s all about patience.
“He should not have any issues clearing his medical if he does leave this summer.“
Rangers must cash in on Ianis Hagi this transfer window
Gers should consider selling Hagi this summer due to his decreasing market value and the club’s need to recoup funds.
The 25-year-old’s valuation has dropped significantly from its peak, making it a crucial time to cash in on the player.
His loan spell at Deportivo Alaves was underwhelming and his performance at Ibrox has also been inconsistent.
Selling Hagi could free up funds to invest in new signings that fit better with the club’s current needs and Philippe Clement’s tactical approach.
In other Rangers news, the club’s board may now push to sign a striker that Philippe Clement does not admire.
