Rangers transfer development emerges amid advanced talks with Hannibal Mejbri

Rangers will have to gradually ease Hannibal Mejbri into the team should they sign him from Manchester United, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that as the 21-year-old did not play much on loan at Sevilla last season, he’s lacking match fitness and will thus be more susceptible to injuries.

This comes after AfricaFoot reported on 25 July that Gers were in advanced talks with Manchester United over the Tunisia international’s move.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

“He’s still young so that works in his favour but he did not play much on loan last season at Sevilla.

“Rangers will need to make sure his fitness and habits are extremely on point while building up his game time methodically.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s given a few bounce games before he can be trusted to play regularly week in and week out and I think it’s what the club would do too.“

Hannibal Mejbri would be a good signing for Rangers on loan

Mejbri joining Gers on loan would be a great signing for the club as he’d offer a lot in midfield.

The 21-year-old midfielder has shown promise during his time at Manchester United and on loan at Birmingham City, demonstrating his technical ability and eye for a pass.

His versatility allows him to play in multiple midfield roles, providing the Ibrox outfit with much-needed depth and flexibility in their squad.

In other Rangers news, the club’s board may now push to sign a striker that Philippe Clement does not admire.
