Tottenham injury news as fresh development emerges on Richarlison
Tottenham attacker Richarlison faces a tough road to returning to full fitness post his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Brazilian is dealing with a nagging issue with his hamstring – an area that can be quite sensitive.
It could be the hamstring flaring up during his rehab or once he’s back in training and closes in on returning to the first team.
Discussing the state of play with Richarlison exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.
“Sounds like a player who is dealing with a nagging hamstring issue and they can be quite sensitive – whether that means it’s flaring up during rehab or after returning to training – which seems to be weeks, currently.
“There’s no clear-cut way to get out of injury cycles other than being very methodical with your rehab and all other habits.
“He does face a tough road ahead as he has faced issues with his fitness and rehab.“
Richarlison may not be at Tottenham for the long haul
The Brazilian has struggled with his fitness and the hierarchy may think it’s time to cut their losses with him.
He was signed for big money from Everton, but he has failed to live up to expectations in North London.
It may make sense to cash in on him if there are clubs showing an interest in securing his services.
Also, due to Ange Postecoglou’s style of play, the Dutch centre-back’s hamstring continues to be put to the test.
Discussing the state of play with van de Ven exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.
“He now has a significant history of hamstring injuries and with his pace and Ange’s playing style that demands multiple bursting runs, he’s at risk for hamstring issues,” said Dr Brar.
