Leeds United want to sign ‘brilliant’ attacker from Premier League club
Leeds United are about to lose arguably their best player as Crysencio Summerville looks set to join West Ham United.
The Dutch winger’s move to the London Stadium appears to be imminent.
Summerville’s departure is bound to sting as Leeds are set to lose their most important attacking asset.
Leeds will need to replace Summerville once his move is finalised, and, by the sounds of it, the Whites aren’t wasting any time in identifying potential targets.
Indeed, according to Sky Sports, Leeds are already looking at another winger from the Premier League.
Leeds interested in Jesurun Rak-Sakyi
According to Sky Sports, Leeds United are now interested in Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
The Crystal Palace winger didn’t play much last season, but he is did have a solid loan spell at Charlton Athletic back in 2022/23 where he scored 15 goals.
His manager at Charlton, Dean Holden, has previously spoken very highly of the winger.
“I spoke to Mark Bright again this morning (Wednesday), in regular contact with Crystal Palace. Mark is fantastic – he gets to nearly every one of our games at The Valley. He downloads all his video clips and speaks to Jes personally about what they are looking for from a Crystal Palace point of view, as much as we do.
“There’s a great relationship there. Jes has done brilliant. He had a really good season last season in U21s football – he got a high number of goals and assists in that. He’s had the confidence to come out of his comfort zone and come into men’s football for the first time.”
Rak-Sakyi could perfectly replace Summerville
Rak-Sakyi could be just what the doctor ordered if Leeds are looking for a Summerville replacement.
Much like his Dutch counterpart Rak-Sakyi has bags of pace and great ability on the ball, as well as an eye for goal.
