Breaking News: Nottingham Forest head coach receive a heartbreak due to
Nottingham Forest completed a deal to sign Jota Silva this morning and the player did something quite brilliant as the ink dried on his contract.
The Reds have signed the versatile forward on a four-year contract and he swaps Vitoria Guimaraes for the City Ground.
Silva was only linked with the club earlier this week and it would appear that Forest were keen to get this deal over the line.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a wonderful season in Portugal last time out, scoring 15 goals and registering seven assists during the 2023/24 campaign.
Following his arrival, Silva was getting his bearings on Trentside and there was a really nice moment spotted on social media.

What Jota Silva did after signing for Forest
The player travelled to the City Ground with quite a large entourage and he was keen for them all to soak in the announcement.
After penning his contract, the party moved round to the club shop where a picture was taken with his new shirt – revealing his squad number it would seem.
Silva is going to have some big shoes to fill at Forest taking the number 20 shirt, previously occupied by Brennan Johnson and Michael Dawson – among others.
It was a lovely moment though and one that really showcased how welcome Forest are keen to make any player who gets signed from overseas these days.
Now, Jota will return to Portugal to watch Vitoria in action and wave a proper goodbye to the fans and his now former teammates, before starting training with Forest next week.
Jota Silva will need to adapt quickly at Forest
It does feel likely that Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga will remain the first-choice wide players even on the back of this signing.
As a result, when Silva does get a chance to shine he will have to make sure that he’s ready to grasp the opportunity with both hands.
Forest haven’t spent a fortune on Silva and it will be hoped that once again the club has a player with a vast amount of resale value.
With 22 goal contributions in Portugal last season, it’s hard not to be excited and it will be fascinating to see how he adapts to the Premier League.
