SAD NEWS HE’S GONE,West Ham best player has finally set up his decision not to return again due to…

West Ham United sent Maxwel Cornet to Southampton on a season-long loan back in the summer.

However, there has just been a major development.

Maxwel Cornet struggled to establish himself with West Ham during his first two years at the London Stadium.

And it was recently claimed that Julen Lopetegui is determined to sell the 27-year-old forward on a permanent basis.

It is such a shame to see how far Cornet has fallen over the past two years or so.

He was brilliant for Burnley, but is now an absolute shadow of his former self.

Things have seemingly got even worse now for the Ivorian.

Maxwel Cornet twist proves David Moyes was right all along

Big things were expected of the Ivory Coast international when he joined the Hammers.

However, he failed to show us what he is truly capable of.

And it seems like it has been very much the same story for him at Southampton.

According to The Sun’s Jack Rosser, the Saints want rid of Cornet, so that they can bring in another forward in January.

David Moyes received merciless stick from the Hammers fans for his treatment of Cornet.

However, it now looks like he was spot on all along.

Maxwel Cornet is clearly not good enough to play in the Premier League anymore, for whatever reason.

His injury problems in the 2022/23 season certainly didn’t help him, but it seems like he needs a move to France or Italy in order to rediscover his best form.

Hopefully West Ham are able to get another loan fee for Cornet this winter, if Southampton do indeed cut his loan short.

And then I’m praying that we are able to sell him on a permanent deal in the summer.
