SAD NEWS HE’S GONE, Leeds united star has set up his decision to leave the club immediately due to…

Brenden Aaronson has been handed a perfect chance to kickstart his Leeds United season as Derby County gem Ebou Adams has been ruled out of the game next Saturday due to suspension.

The midfielder has received five yellow cards since the start of the Championship campaign. which has resulted in him getting a one-game ban.

Aaronson started the 2024/25 season off fairly well but, over the last few weeks, his performances have left a lot to be desired.

However, the fact he’s the Whites’ only natural number 10 within their ranks at the moment means that Daniel Farke doesn’t really have any other choice but to continue starting him.

But with Adams suspended for the game on 7 December, the US international might be given more space in the centre of the park, potentially allowing him to produce a much-needed top-drawer display.

Leeds United need Brenden Aaronson to start making contributions

While it took some time for fans to fully accept the return of the attacking midfielder after he chose to depart Elland Road last season to pursue his dream of playing in the Champions League, since his return he’s made himself a key cog in Leeds’ system.

He may also not be the most technical or effective attacker that the Whites have within their ranks, but the fact he’s the club’s only number 10 has made him an indispensable member of the team.

The Whites were looking to bring in another option for the attacking midfield role, with moves for players such as Gustavo Hamer and Rolland Sallai being explored.

Nothing ended up coming to fruition, however, so the brunt of the creative play in attack has been forced upon being created by Aaronson which is why Leeds need him to start firing.

If he wants to stay in West Yorkshire for longer than just this season, he’s going to have to get his act together and start showing why he’s a member of the team.

The absence of Adams next weekend is a blow for Derby, and hopefully something Leeds and Aaronson can benefit from.

In other Leeds news, Daniel Farke will no doubt be keeping a close eye on Luca Thomas after what he did for York City.
