Deal confirmed: Celtic has made up their mind by bringing him back due to…
The Celtic squad is as strong as it has ever been under Brendan Rodgers.
That was proven when Celtic put five goals past Ross County on Saturday afternoon to go five points clear of second-placed Aberdeen in the Premiership table.
Rodgers rang the changes from Celtic’s draw against Club Brugge in midweek, including four players who come into the XI all scoring – Liam Scales, Luke McCowan, Paulo Bernardo and Adam Idah.
It proves Celtic’s squad depth is scary, with left-back Alex Valle another player who came into the side against County for Greg Taylor.
There has been interesting noise around Valle in recent weeks and suggestions that the on-loan Barcelona star could be headed back to his parent club.
have loved what they have seen from Valle and, once again, he impressed and there are sections of the fanbase who think he should be starting.
But, as Celtic were outclassing Ross County, just hours earlier across Europe, Barcelona suffered a shock defeat at home to Las Palmas and there were scenes fans don’t want to see.
Alejandro Balde suffers injury for Barcelona
This is the last thing Celtic need or want. Alejandro Balde was stretched off with what looked like a serious injury and you now worry about what happens with Valle.
Remember, there was talk around Valle possibly being recalled well before this, with the youngster yet to make a senior debut for his boyhood club.
Fabrizio Romano posted on Twitter that Balde’s injury is ‘bad news for Barca’, with Gerard Martin, who isn’t seen as a popular replacement, coming in for the player.
Celtic fans will be hoping Balde’s injury isn’t serious because they will fear the worst when the January transfer window re-opens.
‘Alejandro Balde leaves the pitch with an injury, bad news for Barça,’ wrote Romano. ‘Gerard Martin enters the pitch to replace him’.
Valle stars for Celtic against Ross County
The important thing is that Valle is still in Celtic colours and proving why he is already a popular figure at Parkhead.
WhoScored rated his performance against Ross County at a pretty impressive 7.47.

Celtic have some huge games coming up, including a top-of-the-table clash against Aberdeen next week and you wonder if the young Spanish star keeps his place in the XI.
There are sections of people who feel that he deserves to and should probably become the starting left-back under Rodgers.
