Breaking News:Leeds United want Daniel Svensson transfer, defender has reacted
Leeds United are following Nordsjaelland defender Daniel Svensson ahead of a possible transfer, according to Fotboll Direkt.
The “Successful” left back and Sweden international has already reacted to the links and admitted he has heard nothing from West Yorkshire yet.
The 22-year-old had previously addressed links to Juventus and Liverpool by stating he was likely to remain with Nordsjaelland until the end of the season and has since been asked about Leeds’ interest.
Speaking to Tipsbladet (22 November), Svensson said: “I have not heard anything about it and it is not my focus now.
My full focus now is what I do here in Nordsjaelland – so no, I don’t know anything about that.”
Daniel Svensson could be new left-back transfer for Leeds United
Although many a United manager down the years has had to get creative when it comes to filling the left-back spot, Daniel Farke is a rarity in that he currently has a plethora of options at his disposal – almost.
Junior Firpo is the undisputed first-choice on the left edge of the Peacocks’ defence this season, but with the Dominican currently undergoing a three-match ban, Sam Byram has been utilised there.
Max Wober

Farke has been hesitant to give Isaac Schmidt many minutes – and now can’t for the next match at least due to a hernia problem – while Pascal Struijk and Maximilian Wober are both centre-backs by trade.
As a result, while the Elland Road left-back stocks are healthier than they have been for some time, change could still occur, with Wober’s future uncertain and Firpo out of contract in six months.
The priority for Farke’s side in the here and now may be promotion, but if they want to achieve it with a recognised, long-term left-back option at the helm, don’t be surprised to see the Whites make a play for Svensson in January.
In other Leeds news, Kalvin Phillips has revealed what he was thinking when linked with a return to Elland Road in the summer.
