Enzo Maresca has been handed several welcome Chelsea injury boosts ahead of the Premier League clash against Leicester City at King Power Stadium. The 44-year-old returns to his former club with the Blues having made a great start to the 2024/25 season.

A number of Chelsea stars that were set for international duty remained in west London to recover from minor issues. Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill were the two big names from that group with Maresca having largely avoided any major injury issues.

Concerns that would be ending were quite high but they have since been eased significantly courtesy of the latest set of training images. With that said, football.london has rounded up the latest Chelsea injury news before the clash against Leicester.

After recovering from a knee injury to play the full 90 minutes against Arsenal, Palmer pulled out of England duty. He has since been captured in Monday’s training session at Cobham, suggesting he will be fine to feature this weekend.

Sancho has been plagued by a number of issues over the last few weeks but has finally been spotted back in team training.

What Maresca said: “He had a knock in the session. He is out for tomorrow, and we will see if he is available [this weekend] or after the international break.”
