GOOD NEWS:Leicester City announce the return of former best player…
Leicester City fans would like to see defender Harry Souttar given another chance at the King Power Stadium.
A loan move to Sheffield United looks to have revitalised the 26-year-old’s career after a tough time at the King Power Stadium. Souttar joined the Foxes from Stoke City in a £15 million move in January 2023 but has played only 15 league matches for the club since then.
At Bramall Lane, however, he has been a key figure in the opening few months of the season. The Blades sit second in the Championship table and he has played in 14 of their 15 league matches.
Souttar is set to stay with United until the end of the campaign and is under contract with City until 2028. And while his future is out of his hands, he admits he would consider staying with the Blades in the long term if the opportunity arose.
“Absolutely,” he said. “Absolutely. I’m here until the summer, that’s a guarantee.
“So whatever happens after that is out of my hands a little bit but in terms of my feelings towards the club, it’s given me a lot and the gaffer’s put a lot of trust in me. And I want to repay him for that.
“My focus has just been on Sheffield United. I’m aware that I’m a loan player and that’s my parent club but my focus and communication has all been on this club. What we’re doing on and off the pitch.”
Dsant: underestimated player like Cannon. . he deserves a chance
alwayshere: Another one disrespected and ignored by Cooper. I wish him and Cannon all the best. If they want to stay at Leicester they have to hope that another manager is in charge next summer.
The Ref: Good luck to him. Shabbily treated. As have others. Good player for me
