However, in came Ange Postecoglou who then brought Hart to the club and the treble-winning former Celtic goalkeeper has admitted that the Australian gave him some of the best tactical education he has ever had in his career.

Celtic gave Joe Hart ‘the best’ moments in his career

Hart was speaking whilst on BBC commentary duty at the Tottenham vs Aston Villa game, the former Celtic ‘keeper told the BBC, “I spoke to Ange Postecoglou and I didn’t know his background.

“I was potentially thinking about finishing football, but I wanted an opportunity to play with freedom and passion and he said, ‘I could do it with him’ [at Celtic].

“I went up there and Celtic were in a bit of disarray, and he was so clear and dedicated in what he wanted.

“The game-day comes and his little tweaks at half-time were the best I have been a part of.”

Not only that, Hart’s 153 appearances for Celtic helped contribute to his incredible 703 career appearances between the sticks.

Of which, number 700 was made whilst wearing Celtic gloves before the Hoops fans gave Hart the send-off he richly deserved.
