Leeds United injury latest with three fresh fitness ‘question marks’ for Plymouth Argyle tussle

Leeds United could be without Daniel James, Joe Gelhardt Patrick Bamford when they entertain struggling Plymouth Argyle this weekend. The trio are injury doubts as the Whites look to extend their unbeaten Championship run to seven matches.

Gelhardt suffered a hip injury in training yesterday and was unable to take part in training today. Speaking at his press briefing, boss Daniel Farke also confirmed there are “question marks” over winger James (hamstring) and striker Bamford (adductor).

We will make late decisions on them,” said Farke, whose side are currently third in the second tier of English football. “It depends on how they come through the session tomorrow.”
Saturday’s clash will probably come too soon for Max Wober. The Austrian international is edging closer to a first team return after shrugging off a knee problem.

Farke said: “He [Wober] is not ready to start a game. He has been out for five and a half weeks. We expect him to be back fully available pretty soon.”

Farke will have to rejig his back four, with Jayden Bogle set to serve a one-match suspension after picking up five yellow cards. Sam Byram and summer signing Issac Schmidt are vying to replace Bogle at right-back. Junior Firpo is in line to return after sitting out the Bristol trip due to suspension

Farke has been delighted with the way new signing Josuha Guilavogui has settled into life at Elland Road. “It’s definitely beneficial for us to have him available. He leads by example in the dressing room,” he said. “It’s good to have him around. It was a good choice to add him to the squad.”
