Breaking News: premier league winger tipped to join Leeds united in January just now
Leeds United are interested in signing Lewis O’Brien from Nottingham Forest when his LAFC loan expires in December, according to TEAMtalk.
The outlet reported via their website on Wednesday (30 October) that the Whites are among the clubs keeping tabs on the 26-year-old, whose temporary deal at LAFC runs out at the end of the MLS season.
Southampton, Sheffield United, Stoke, West Brom and Hull City are also in the mix for the left-footed midfielder ahead of January.
LAFC notably have an option to make O’Brien’s move permanent and it remains to be seen if they will take it up, although he is unlikely to have a place in Forest’s plans for the future.
Leeds United could bolster midfield further with Lewis O’Brien
Midfield has been an area of concern for Leeds United in recent weeks after Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev picked up serious injuries.

Josuha Guilavogui has been roped in on a free transfer to help Daniel Farke sail through the crisis, but the Frenchman could very much be a stop-gap signing.
It would be sensible for the Elland Road outfit to bolster their midfield further in January to ensure their promotion hopes do not take a hit.
This is why O’Brien, who has impressed on loan at LAFC with several Man of the Match performances, is an interesting target for Leeds.

Leeds’ interest in O’Brien is not new as they were keen to secure the Englishman’s services when he was still at Huddersfield in 2022 (Steven Chicken).
A move to Elland Road could finally be on the cards for the midfielder, albeit three years later, should the club pursue a deal for him in January.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have also been scouting this Ivorian gem ahead of a potential transfer.
