UNBELIEVABLE NEWS;Everton confirm Beto’s plan to join new club due to..
Beto is considering leaving Everton in search of regular first-team football after his match-saving heroics against Fulham, sources have told Football Insider.
The striker was in tears on the pitch at full-time after his 96th-minute equaliser in the Merseysiders’ 1-1 draw with Fulham on Saturday.
The 26-year-old came on as an 81st-minute substitute in a move which was met with frustrated groans and boos from the Goodison Park crowd, before his late goal secured an important point.
Following the game, Beto conducted an emotional interview with Sky Sports in which he insisted he would always work hard for the team despite struggling with a “really difficult” period.
Meanwhile, sources say the Toffees are open to the striker’s exit if they can receive a fee close to what they paid for him in 2023.
In that time, he has mostly been a bit-part player in Dyche’s side, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin securing his position as the first-choice number-nine.
The striker is said to be keen on playing more regular first-team football, while the noise from the crowd has also impacted his decision.
Beto could push for move away from Everton after Goodison twist
Beto arrived at Goodison Park from Udinese in a deal worth £26million as they looked for a solution to their goalscoring issues under Sean Dyche.
In that time, the Brazilian has scored just seven goals in 44 appearances and has struggled to establish himself as an important player in the starting XI.
Of those 44 appearances, the striker started just 14 games, and has failed to gain the trust of his manager to start up front on a regular basis.
As a result, he is now weighing up his options ahead of a potential move away from Goodison Park as he looks to get his career back on track.
However, sources also say potentially interested clubs are yet to make their positions clear.
