The Friedkin Group have exciting off-field Everton plans

The Friedkin Group are closing in on a potential takeover at Everton but they have no plans on showing their faces at Goodison Park just yet.

According to The Athletic, The Friedkin Group are already making plans for moving into the new stadium ahead of next season.

The report claims there would actually have been little interest from TFG in buying Everton had the Toffees not have their new ground ready to move in to.

And the proposed new owners are already making plans to expand Everton’s footprint on the docklands site with the Nelson Dock a potential area to invest in.

There are even whispers that TFG could already be looking into the possibility of expanding the new stadium’s capacity with room for growth in the stadium’s east stand.

The Friedkin Group are ready to invest at Everton

This has to be a breath of fresh air for all Everton fans with the prospective new owners sounding incredibly keen to put their money where their mouth is.

What will be interesting to see is how these plans may affect the club’s transfer budget in the years leading up to these expansion plans.

It has been seen at the likes of Tottenham Hotspur that the increased revenue from their new stadium has provided greater scope to spend with a real cushion on PSR.

However, considerable money may be spent by TFG on matters away from the pitch and fans will hope that this does not affect their ability to improve their squad in the transfer windows.
