I WILL NOT PLAY AGAIN:Wolves fc best player announces his sudden departure…
Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Hwang Hee-chan has sustained an injury on international duty.
Hwang was forced off just 20 minutes into South Korea’s World Cup qualifier against Jordan on Thursday.
This spell of international duty is most likely over for the Wolves man, who will undergo a scan to decipher the extent of the damage caused. Despite not having Hwang for 70 minutes or star man Heung-min Son for any of the match, South Korea went on to beat Jordan by two goals to nil.
Hwang is yet to score for Wolves this season but remains a talented player having scored 12 goals in 29 Premier League appearances last season. The versatile forward certainly hasn’t had much of an impact this term, though the same could be said for much of the Wanderers squad.
The introduction of Jorgen Strand Larsen up front has moved Matheus Cunha to the wing, while Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Rodrigo Gomes and Carlos Forbs have shared the remaining starts. Hwang has had the odd cameo off the bench but rarely made his presence known – or at least in a positive sense.
It’s been difficult watching Hwang out of form, especially given how popular he’s been among the fanbase for many seasons. Wolves will be hoping his ankle injury isn’t serious and he’ll be able to return to his best as soon as possible.
