Breaking News:West Ham United gem Mohammed Kudus should be embarrassed as footage emerges
West Ham United gem Mohammed Kudus will be feeling rather embarrassed as he was guilty of an all-time howler on Ghana duty.
The forward played a full part for his national side as they drew 0-0 with Sudan in Thursday’s (10 October) Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Kudus had a glorious chance to win the contest in the 89th minute, only to somehow miss from a little over a yard out and the net gaping.
As footage shared by FanzStand on X [10 October] shows, the ball bounced just before Kudus hit it but that cannot be used as an excuse.
The offside flag stayed down – it may well have gone up had he scored – and the 24-year-old really could not blame anybody else around him.
Mohammed Kudus unable to inspire Ghana in 0-0 draw v Sudan
That sitter was costly as Ghana were unable to find the net in the remaining few minutes and are now winless in their past three matches.
Kudus had the honour of skippering his country for the first time but it was not an occasion to remember thanks to this miss.
The West Ham favourite was called out by the president of the Ghanaian FA on the eve of the match amid this poor run of form for his country.
Unfortunately for Kudus and Ghana, the winless run goes on and they will now be desperate to turn it around against Sudan on Tuesday (15 October).
If the Kudus of West Ham is anything to go by, he will not be down for too long and you would not bet against him finding the net in that next outing.
