SHOCKING:Kasper Schmeichel in tears as Brendan Rodgers Confirmed his suspension leaving…

BREAKING NEWS:Celtic fc announce the suspension of Kasper Schmeichel…

Celtic managers being linked with Premier League jobs is inevitable. There were rumours about almost a dozen clubs being interested in Ange Postecoglou before he made the move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023. Now, there are talks of teams down south having an eye on Brendan Rodgers.

Unfortunately, that is something that will always be a slight worry for Celtic fans. Why? Because Rodgers did leave the club in the middle of the season the last time around to join Leicester City.

Of course, one would hope that there is no repeat of that this time. It would almost be unthinkable. But never say never in football.

It looks like Everton are the club being linked with Rodgers on this occasion. But he has been advised to stay at Celtic. As reported by Football Insider, Paul Robinson said:

“Brendan Rodgers is always going to be linked to jobs back in the Premier League.

“Because of what he’s done there before in the past and what he’s achieved with Celtic already you know in his second time.

“You look at the Everton job he’s linked already today with the Everton job he’s linked with other jobs when they come available.

“His next step at Celtic is qualifying for the next phase of the Champions League.

“The Dortmund game might just be a little bit of an eye-opener after the really good opening day win, but I think he will, yeah, I think that’s what he’ll be judged on.

“That’s progression, the games against Rangers, yes, you’re always going to be judged on those, but I think for actual progression they are going to judge them in the Champions League.”

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers linked with Premier League job

It would make very little sense for Rodgers to leave Celtic right now, or anytime soon. Especially for Everton.

Everton are currently just above the relegation zone, having picked up five points from their first seven Premier League games. Unfortunately for the Merseyside club, they have been barely avoiding the drop for many seasons now and things just don’t seem to be getting better for them.
